JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION : IT Supervisor
SUPERVISOR : Assistant Manager or Manager
STATUS : Exempt
SUMMARY :
The position duties include a wide range of activities related to the administration and support of the various software systems, as well a preparing configuring, development, and process documentation. Position is the project owner for systems. In addition, this role involves project management of specific tasks or projects on behalf of the leadership team that supports improved program analysis, improved system use, and innovative and forward thinking IT and systems related projects to create additional efficiency within operations and to meet required operations goals
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :
Operates under the direct general supervision of an Assistant Manager or Manager. The IT Supervisor exercises supervision over other IT employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Project owner for equipment and systems
- Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
- Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
- Provide technical support or training for systems and networks
- Act as link between end users and higher-level support (client liaison for IT)
- Install and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.)
- Monitor system and network performance
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration
- Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)
- Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules
- Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
- Assist the development teams with data integration
- Assist staff in the use and functionality of our systems of record
- Troubleshoot already developed applications and their uses
- Document and update Podio workflows as required.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
- Explain reports and recommendations to multiple audiences
- Perform as “first response” alongside disaster recovery team in emergency situations to limit liabilities and ensure business continuity
- Provide excellent customer service to participants, landlords, co-workers, clients and vendors
- Provide regularly training for staff on IT and systems related issues
- Conduct all job functions in alignment with the PHA Administrative Plan, HUD regulations and other state and local requirements
- Obtain certification in Housing Choice Voucher Specialist within 120 days of employment
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned
