What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Architect position at NANO Architecture + Interiors?
NANO LLC is currently seeking to hire a Project Architect with 5-8 years of project experience to join our growing team. This is an at-will position and candidates must be able to work in person a minimum of 40 hours/week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
•Maintain organization of project records and specifications
•Generate and maintain design schedules
•Conduct and document site visits, review, and process submittals, RFIs and substitution requests during construction
•Track and adhere to time and cost budgets
•Conduct client and consultant meetings
•Performs as team leader on projects.
•Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff, participates in professional development reviews, and “LessonsLearned” sessions
Construction Documentation
•Client, team, and project coordination including full coordination with structural, civil, MEP and landscape consultants
•Coordinating all consultant work in Revit
QA/QC
•Provide technical guidance and develop innovative solutions for all levels of design challenges
•Checks completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for accuracy.
Code Compliance
•Code and life safety research
•Execute compliance with local and national building codes
QUALIFICATIONS:
•5-8 years project management experience working for an architecture firm
•An accredited professional architectural degree
•Licensed/Registered Architect preferred but not required
•Experience with Revit required. AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Rhino, Energy Modeling, MS Office preferred
•Attention to detail and strong team communication skills
•A passion to help solve problems and find alternate solutions
•Ability to translate design ideas into clear and concise details and construction documents
•Strong teamwork, problem solving and organizational skills
•Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction and structure
•Ability to take direction as well as delegate, take initiative and work both independently or on a team, depending on theproject type and magnitude.
