Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting Nappanee Family Eyecare's daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and have a passion for helping patients achieve their vision health goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by completing the preliminary exam work-up
- Conduct preliminary tests such as visual acuity and visual imaging
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients on contact lens care, eyewear options, and proper eye health practices
- Collaborate with the optometric team to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency
Skills
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills to provide a positive patient experience
- Detail-oriented to accurately perform tests and record data
- Basic knowledge of eye anatomy and physiology related to eye health is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a clinical environment
Office Hours
- The ideal candidate will be willing to work 3-4 days per week and 1 Saturday per month
- Monday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Wednesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
