Job Description
Key Responsibility:
Under general direction, provides administrative and technical support for the Executive Pastor of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene, Facility Manager, and the Finance Manager, performing a variety of responsible administrative assistant, human resource, financial, technical, task-oriented, team-planning, and other related duties as assigned.
Reports Directly To:
Executive Pastor and Finance Manager of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene (NFCN)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Directs internal communication for Executive Office, NFCN.
§ Assists the Finance Office with assigned tasks.
§ Assists the Facility Manager as needed and attends weekly meetings.
§ Administers the Planning Center Online database and Church Center App.
§ Assists with various Human Resource and NFCN staff-related responsibilities.
§ Guides graphics and marketing strategies as a member of the Media Team for NFCN.
§ Oversees social media interaction and LED Sign to adequately market NFCN information and activities.
§ Conducts research as requested for maximum community/congregational impact.
§ Maintains details of the website, through NFCN’s website assistant, as needed for thorough and appropriate representation through that medium of NFCN ministry, events, and activities.
§ Oversees and approves all internal and external calendared activities and events utilizing the NFCN Campus & Facility in collaboration with the Facility Manager and Executive Pastor.
§ Ensures extended staff are scheduled for events as requested such as security, A/V Techs, custodian, etc.
§ Plan staff celebratory luncheons, dinners and receptions.
§ Oversee office staff supplies, phones, IT, copiers, equipment, etc.
§ Calendars church-wide events.
§ Ensures the completion of Building Use details for all submitted activities and events.
§ Communicates with Ministry Personnel as needed throughout the NFCN structure.
§ Understands and endorses the missions of NFCN.
§ Handles Invoicing and receipt of payment for facility use income.
§ Processes Purchase Orders and Reimbursement
§ Coordinates, leads and attends meetings and takes minutes as directed.
§ Assists with the coordinated efforts of NFCN’s collaboration with 510 Foundation.
Qualifications:
§ Possess a track record of successful management of multiple large-scale projects.
§ Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Database.
§ Ability to develop graphics and apply to social media & website mediums.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication.
§ Excellent attention to detail.
§ Ability to work under direction as well as independently.
§ Non-profit or ministry experience is preferred.
Other Job Details:
§ Maximum weekly in-office hours = 40, Paid hourly.
§ Collaborates with office support staff and attends meetings as needed.
§ Regular attendance at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene for community connection & worship preferred.
