NUMC currently has an opportunity for a Social Assistant to collaborateas a member of a diagnostic and therapeutic team and carry out casework services to the emotionally, mentally, or handicapped patients.
Specifically, you will:
- Interview patients/clients to explore need for assistance in making future plans.
- Assist patients/clients in utilizing community resources in meeting their needs.
- Prepare case histories/reports with information secured and services rendered.
- Attend administrative staff conferences, unit meetings, & in-service training seminars
- Assist in the implementation of specialized governmental surveys
We require:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university, including or supplemented by twenty credit hours in the social sciences.
