The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has a new opportunity for an AP/AR Specialist in our Finance department. This position will provide accounting support for the Finance Department for NAMIC and multiple affiliated entities.

Essential functions of the position include:
- Prepares, processes, posts, verifies, and records vendor payments and transactions related to accounts payable.
- Assists with processing all expense reports, including reimbursable and corporate credit card transactions.
- Prepares, processes, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Assists in completing and tracking of W-9s for the 1099 forms.
- Assists with maintaining files in accordance with company policies for all entities.
- Performs data entry as needed for required government reporting.
- Reviews and reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable reports monthly.
- Creates ad hoc reports as needed.
- Provides excellent customer service both internally and externally by responding timely to inquiries.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- ERP and FMS system experience preferred. ProTech, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft GP experience a huge plus!
- Accounting software experience. Sage Intacct and SAP Concur experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or related software Previous experience with multiple company accounting preferred.
- Understanding of complete cash receipts and disbursement process.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR.
