Role Overview

The Minneapolis office of Stoel Rives is seeking an associate with a minimum of 2 years of general commercial litigation experience to join its dynamic Litigation Group. The Litigation Group’s staffing approach provides significant opportunities for professional growth and early responsibility over complex matters.

  • 2-4 years of general commercial litigation experience;
  • Excellent research and writing skills that can be deployed with flexibility to meet internal and external client needs;
  • Strong interpersonal skills including building rapport with clients, fellow attorneys, and staff;
  • Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong intellectual curiosity;
  • Self-motivation;
  • A commitment to client service and team success;
  • JD from an accredited university;
  • Admitted to practice in Minnesota (preferred) or qualified for an admission waiver in Minnesota upon hiring.

How You Will Live Life Well at Stoel Rives: Compensation, Benefits, and More!

The pay range for this position is $204,000 – $212,000; however, the base compensation presented to a candidate may vary based on skills and overall experience. This salary range is based on market location.

In addition to base compensation, Stoel Rives has a total rewards program that includes an annual discretionary bonus and rich benefits offerings. For example, our benefits offerings include paid family & medical leave (and an on/off-ramp program for expecting parents), unlimited PTO, a flexible schedule program, hybrid work options, and a sabbatical program for eligible attorneys. We also offer competitive and robust medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, AD&D, EAP, FSA, and Voluntary Life, ADD, and LTC options. We also provide a generous firm-contributed health savings account and a pre-tax transportation/parking plan. To help meet billable hour expectations, we also allow up to 50 hours of billable credit for diversity, equity, and inclusion-related activities, as well as an additional up to 50 hours for pro bono activities.
