Duties/Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including client document organization and review, redaction of privileged documents, retrieval and organization of exhibits for court filings.
- Strong skills in reviewing discovery documents, summarizing depositions, preparing discovery responses, and analyzing medical/billing records along with page-line summaries are essential.
- Must be proficient with the e-Discovery process, including the review and setup of Electronically Stored Information (ESI).
- Additional responsibilities include preparing subpoenas, managing document productions and related records, and maintaining effective communication with firm attorneys and staff, clients, courts, and external vendors.
- Assignments primarily focus on litigation matters, including business, employment, and insurance cases. However, some projects may extend beyond litigation and require tasks such as document analysis and chart creation, researching various jurisdictions, and gathering information on experts.
- 1400 Billable Hour Requirement
- Candidate must have a BA or BS degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program. Minimum of five years' experience working as a civil litigation Paralegal for a law firm or equivalent environment.
- Proficiency with e-discovery, experience with e-discovery platform administration, and document production management is required. Trial experience is required (preparation of pre-trial pleadings, exhibit and witness lists; and providing support at and post-trial). Provide litigation support to attorneys at deposition, trial, mediation, and arbitration.
- Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and work product quality is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word (2010 or higher), Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Previous use of iManage or other similar document management system is a plus.
Salary is 100K (DOE/DOQ).
