Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for ensuring world-class execution of the Office of the Executive Director. You will support the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and the executive management team in handling day-to-day responsibilities while keeping a focus on overall business plan execution.
Duties and Responsibilities - Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- The assistance in planning and directing of all financial, administrative, and operational activities for the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Board of Directors, and President of the organization.
- Strategic Communications: You will support the Executive Director and executive management team in strategic communications including developing meeting agendas, preparing presentations, and responding to emails on behalf of the Executive Director. You will participate in key meetings to ensure proper follow-up and effectively manage relationships.
- You will own strategic projects of high importance to the Executive Director and the management team, such as high-profile events, Board meetings, and other priorities as they arrive.
- May manage the workflow of team members within the organization on specific and targeted projects.
- Provide strategic guidance and input to the Executive Director.
- Act as a point of contact between employees, stakeholders, and senior management officials.
- You will collaborate with team members to oversee office space management, coordinate with external vendors as required, maintain essential documentation and policies, and provide overall support to ensure the organization operates effectively and efficiently.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time in person position, located at the NOBLE Headquarters in Alexandria, VA, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend work and extended hours during conference preparation and execution.
Travel
Occasional travel is expected for this position- approximately 15 percent.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Criminal Justice, or a Social Science related field.
- The candidate is required to have at least 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in nonprofit leadership, organizational management, startups, and rapidly changing environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, excel spreadsheet, and various office software.
- Having an understanding and sensitivity to the role and responsibility of law enforcement.
