Summary:
The Service Manager leads Service Writing, Parts Department and all Service Department personnel in the daily service operations. The Service Manager will be responsible for accurate and timely communication with customers, shop efficiency, and parts sales and inventory control.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the daily operation of the dealership, including managing staff, reviewing profit and loss, staffing, employee development and training, equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Plan and establish processes to control expenses.
- Handles resolution of customer complaints regarding service.
- Assist in the development of revenue and profit goals, and headcount requirements for budgeting purposes. Provide feedback on annual operating budgets.
- Responsible for safety audits, safety training, compliance with State and Federal OSHA, MSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
- Maintain operating facilities in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Supervise Daily Workflow (workload, resources, and equipment processes).
- Support and communicate regularly with the Sales Teams

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Bachelor Degree in Business preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- General knowledge of parts and vehicle mechanical operations
- Preferred two years of experience in a RV, auto or boat dealership
- Specific industry experienced desired or an equivalent college degree.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience managing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience using computer systems and software

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical schedule of Monday to Friday. Hours may vary according to the needs of the business and Saturdays may often be required.
