Summary:
The Coordinator, Security and Venue Services provides general administrative support to the Public Safety & Security Department focusing on the credentialing, on/off premise process for Nationals employees and our ballpark partners, parking technology and equipment at Nationals Park.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses both Nationals and Major League Baseball (MLB) credentialing system to create and distribute approximately 6,000 credentials for all employees, vendors, contractors (as deemed appropriate) MLB representatives that work and/or visit Nationals Park every year.
- Assist with the research, installation, maintenance and repair of all physical and technology related security equipment to include but not limited to metal detection devices, incident management system, closed circuit TV, electronic access control, and alarm systems.
- Become admin level user of department security systems including access control, 24/7 Software, CCTV camera system and magnetometer system. Manages inventory of department materials, supplies and support equipment items, while working with purchasing to order stock in a proactive manner as to not disrupt business operations as necessary.
- Obtains and distributes department communication and update lists for both game day and non-game day operations (examples: daily brief sheets, VIP attendance lists, Manager on Duty information, etc.) and any other information essential to departmental operations.
- Act as POC for community stakeholders and disseminate information as needed.
- Directs and manages safety and security for VIPs and celebrity visits, meets with Security Teams to strategize arrivals and departures, conducts pre-visit security detail “walk-throughs” which includes but is not limited to designated entry and exit routes, safe shelter locations, emergency medical procedures and on-site public safety coordination.
- Assist in the management of contracted parking management company and associated parking equipment.
- Generates event credential and parking lists and ensures request fulfillment.
- Conducts periodic inspections of all document flow programs to ensure accuracy and completeness in compliance with policies, procedures, protocols, and internal and external regulatory and MLB mandates.
- Assists as directed with maintenance and accountability of all shift files, logs and reports for the required period of time in a manner to quickly and accurately recall any required/requested information.
- Assist as needed with the Gameday Incident Command Post (ICP) including directing the dispatch of safety and security resources. Utilize video surveillance to monitor issues and generate reports.
- Act in the Command Lead role when needed during large scale events.
- Provide administrative support to Security Department (Vendor contract routing, purchase requisition created, record keeping, etc.)
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma required. College Degree or equivalent military experience preferred
- Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
- Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, deliver effective results and consistently meet tight deadlines and targets.
- Understands the need for data integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely data.
- An effective communicator orally and written with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer-based systems.
- Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented documents.
- Ability to operate under pressure.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong ability to create and thrive in a team environment.
- Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of MLB Security policies and procedures preferred.
- Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.

Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Gameday Seasonal: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Compensation:
The projected wage rate for this position is $21.02- $24.03 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
