Title: Resident Services Coordinator
Location: 1717 SW Madison St, Portland, OR 97205
Schedule: 40 hours a week, Tuesday-Saturday, including occasional evening hours
Wage Range: $23 - $27 Hourly, non-exempt

Position Overview:
The Nesika Illahee Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) works independently and collaboratively with multiple NARA teams and the Nesika Illahee partners, including the Native American Youth and Family Center and the Siletz tribal housing department staff, to provide community and home-based housing support services to individuals and families residing in Nesika Illahee, a new 59-unit housing community located in the Cully Neighborhood. Services are focused around supporting the individual and/or family to stabilize their housing, improve their health and move forward in their recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist new residents with move-in processes, including lease signing, obtaining furnishings for their home if needed, etc.
- Complete program-specific initial and annual paperwork with residents to assist with housing stability. This includes completing a needs assessment and housing service plan with residents.
- Develop positive relationships with collaborative partners, external providers, and Nesika Illahee property management
- Be responsive to property managers as concerns arise to support residents to successfully maintain their housing and prevent eviction. Follow up with property managers to determine outcome of any needed interventions.
- Work in close coordination with other providers and support systems to address the needs of residents. Includes initiating clinical consults and assuring coordination of treatment planning and ongoing support services, including employment readiness.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) or Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) credential required. QMHP strongly preferred.
- CADC or equivalent highly desirable.
- Professional experience working with individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder.
- Knowledge of local social service resources and programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery-based, holistic approaches to addressing behavioral health needs.
- Knowledge and skill in working in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Must have valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
- Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks.
