This role will be essential to ensuring smooth financial operations, supporting both our accounts payable and payroll processes.
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk will be responsible for handling all aspects of accounts payable and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and employees, helping us meet our financial obligations and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
**MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH**
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests from vendors.
- Prepare and schedule payments to vendors, ensuring timely disbursements.
- Job Costing
- Heavy Data Entry
- Resolve invoice and statement discrepancies
- Maintain W9 for all vendors/suppliers
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Match field tickets to invoices
- Filing
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting close processes.
Payroll Clerk/HR Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll through ADP.
- Complete onboarding process for all new hires
- Create & update records and databases with employee personnel data
- Track PTO & Health Benefits
- Perform other HR duties as required
- First point of contact for employee payroll questions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Fluent in Spanish required
- 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience
- 2-4 years in the construction industry
- 1-2 years of payroll experience
- Familiarity with construction-specific payroll regulations and certified payroll is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software, QB Desktop & ADP is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
