Natural Retreatsis hiring a Bank Reconciliation Specialistto join our Financeteam! This position is responsible for completing daily, multi-bank account reconciliations to ensure all necessary transactions are recorded accurately in the financial accounting system, and reconcile to the bank balance. The Bank Reconciliation Specialist will research discrepancies and provide assistance with the preparation of cash flow forecasting for the business locations. This individual will be required to apply financial principles and practices to accurately record transactions in line with regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.
This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires 2-4 days of in-office work in the Charlottesville, VA office each month.

- Maintain cash flow forecasting documents for assigned cash accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Match transactions from bank statements to the General Ledger
- Identify and investigate reconciling items, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, and bank charges
- Resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
- Document all discrepancies and their resolutions
- Deposit and record check received in the accounting system
- Ensure Agency guest payments are allocated to the correct Escrow account
- Research and collaborate with payables on aged reconciling items
- Ensure items presented by the bank for validity are addressed timely through positive pay and ACH fraud portal
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all reconciliation activities
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience in hospitality or similar industry
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and procedures
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and additional ability to learn and excel at new software programs
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications to multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- Ability to manage and prioritize required outcomes to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment demonstrated by the following:
