Job Summary
The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for supervising daily activities during their shift, ensuring all staff take their designated breaks and lunches. This includes managing discounts and resolving pricing issues within the Point of Sale (POS) system, maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization, and opening and closing the store by preparing and counting the cash drawers for the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities during your shift, ensuring all staff take their designated breaks and lunches.
- Manage discounts and resolve pricing issues within the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization, ensuring it is welcoming for customers during opening and closing shifts, and keeping it tidy throughout the shift.
- Open the store by preparing and counting the cash drawers for the day.
- Close the store by balancing the cash in the drawer, safe, and ATM.
- Address any escalated customer service issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations set by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) at all times.
Requirements
- Previous retail management experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in accurately counting both paper money and coins.
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills with both customers and associates are required.
