Job Description
At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, we pride ourselves on our commitment to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Planning Coordinator to join our dynamic team!
About the role:
- Responsible to develop standard work task estimates encompassing labor, material, execution time, and tooling requirements for corrective maintenance and equipment installation tasks. The planning coordinator and gatekeeper will validate work tasks meet requirements and are ready for release to each work group.
- Perform walkdowns with engineering, management, and crafts to ensure all aspects of the work task are appropriately captured and stakeholders are aligned.
- Upon work group completion of released work, the planning coordinator will work with the work group supervisor assigned to the work to ensure released work is appropriately closed out with the required information to ensure accuracy of operation and maintenance operating goals are maintained.
- Conduct thorough periodic review and research of task history and relevant maintenance records to validate and adjust standards as necessary.
- The planning coordinator and gatekeeper will also assist in the development of the 4 week look ahead schedule in accordance with the established priorities.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Preferred Skills
- Post-secondary education in a building trade as a journeyman (e.g. electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- Post-secondary education in a similar accredited vocational school with an associate’s degree in building trades or similar education with 5 years of relevant experience in building trades or facility and maintenance operations.
- Strong computer skills working in Microsoft Office applications, and facility management programs such as Tririga, ServiceNow, or similar applications
- Specific experience in planning/estimating for maintenance / installation projects.

Pay Range
Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
