We seek a detail-oriented Estimator to assess and plan renovation projects for multi-family properties. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Bay Area for job walks and site visits. Your Role & Responsibilities
- Evaluate multi-family properties for construction deficiencies and recommend necessary improvements to meet code compliance.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for property repairs and renovations.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure accurate estimates and bid packages.
- Conduct site inspections with clients, sales representatives, and insurance adjusters as needed.
- Utilize Xactimate to prepare timely and precise repair estimates.
- Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and negotiate settlements.
- Provide construction expertise during contract negotiations.
- Support operations and office staff with proper documentation throughout the bidding process.
- Offer insights on material and labor cost estimating.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and develop effective solutions.
What You Need to Succeed
- Construction estimating experience is required (multi-family renovation experience is preferred).
- Must reside in the Bay Area and be willing to conduct local site visits as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction-related certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret multi-family construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of integrity.
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
