Navistar has a great opportunity for a PMO Analyst to join our Program Management Team.
If you are looking to accelerate your career, this is the opportunity for you. This position is a launching pad for someone that has the drive to become a Program Manager. As a PMO Analyst, the primary responsibility will be on supporting multiple programs by managing the timing aspects of each program. While supporting these programs, you are expected to learn the systems, processes, and structure of Navistar’s product development. In doing so, you can progress into taking on additional responsibilities of managing parts of a program under the current Program Manager. The objective will be to have you successfully navigate and learn what it takes to become a Program Manager, so that when the opportunity to lead a program arises, you have the skillset and knowledge to do so.
Responsibilities
- Lead program team to establish task duration, linkages, constraints, and ownership for each task following the Navistar work breakdown structure
- Proactively follow-up and maintain timing plan by verifying tasks are on track and committed dates are met
- Communicate timing status and concerns with the Program Manager
- Create timing presentations to communicate overall timing and critical path
- Communicate/present program timing status and near-term tasks at team meetings
- Assist with timing exercises to identify timing impacts based on scope changes
- Provide support to other functions to develop their detailed plans
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of technical project/program management experience
OR
- Master’s degree
OR
- At least 4 years of technical project/program management experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
- Strong communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to interface with all management levels
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- PMP certification either in progress or completed a plus
