Join Us as a Technical and Process Improvement Intern

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Tech Service team for a 12-week project focused on enhancing our technical content and improving processes. This project aims to address a backlog of tasks causing significant delays due to limited resources. By prioritizing effectively, we aim to boost productivity and empower our dealers through shared knowledge.

 

About the Intern Program

  • 12-week program with start dates on: May 12th or 19th, or June 2nd
  • 40 hours per week
  • Must graduate between December 2025 - May 2027

Responsibilities

  • Design and publish technical documentation for internal and external use.
  • Create test materials to advance internal knowledge.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful completion of project tasks.
  • Measure the utilization of topics listed by our dealer network through view counts or a reduction in submitted case files.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our knowledge matrix scores.

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)

Desired Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Information Technology, Engineering).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and process improvement is a plus.
  • At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
  • Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
  • Previous applicable internships
  • Self-starter
  • High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)

We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.

 

The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour. The hourly pay rate is based on year in school and is non-negotiable.
