Job Title: Transportation Associate
Location: Springdale, AR 72764
Duration: 3 Months (Potential for Extension)
Shift: 40 Hours per Week | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Wednesday – Friday & Every Other Saturday

Job Overview:

This entry-level management role is designed for individuals looking to develop a strong foundation in fleet operations. The selected candidate will work closely with an experienced supervisor, gaining hands-on training and knowledge essential for success in transportation management.

The Transportation Associate will be responsible for overseeing dispatch operations, coordinating with drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries, managing driver safety, and resolving any issues that arise outside of regular office hours. Additionally, this role will involve working across various transportation departments, including load planning, shuttle operations, and regional logistics, to develop a comprehensive understanding of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing dispatch operations for fleet trucks.
• Coordinate with drivers and assign loads as needed.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage driver safety and resolve issues during shifts.
• Gain experience across multiple transportation departments, including load planning and regional operations.
• Serve as weekend night and daytime dispatcher as needed.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.
• Recent and relevant experience in transportation dispatch is essential (customer service experience alone does not meet the criteria).

Skills & Qualifications:

• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Special Skills: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of leading and motivating others.
