Histotechnologist – Surgical Pathology

Qualifications:

• NYS License/registration or limited permit as a Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Two years of experience working in surgical pathology or histology.
• Ability to recognize and differentiate tissue structures through color distinctions.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Perform sectioning, staining, and processing of surgical pathology specimens.
• Utilize special stains and immunohistochemical techniques for diagnosis.
• Conduct enzyme histochemistry and specialized histology procedures.
• Maintain patient records and laboratory specimen tracking systems.
• Adhere to strict laboratory safety and confidentiality guidelines.
