The Director of Payer Strategy & Network Development plays a pivotal role in expanding the adoption of NCQA programs within health plan network development and provider contracting strategies, including alignment with value-based care initiatives.
This role builds relationships with health plan executives responsible for network strategy, provider contracting, and quality initiatives to support how they integrate NCQA programs into network design, reimbursement models, and provider incentives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Strategy and Execution
- Drive adoption of NCQA programs within major health plans' quality and network strategies
- Develop and execute account plans targeting C-suite and VP-level healthcare executives
- Demonstrate ROI of NCQA solutions in improving network quality and value-based care outcomes
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new opportunities in Event Marketing
- Ability to travel and attend events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Market Development
- Partner with employers and benefit leaders to promote quality-driven network selection
- Create compelling business cases showcasing NCQA's impact on healthcare quality
- Build strategic relationships with industry stakeholders and decision-makers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary requirements of this position);
- 7 years of experience selling enterprise healthcare solutions to health plans, with a focus on network development, provider contracting, or quality improvement
- Deep understanding of provider network operations, value-based contracting, and payer-provider relationships
- Proven track record managing complex healthcare sales cycles
- Strategic account planning and execution
- C-suite level presentation, negotiation, and relationship management
- Healthcare quality metrics and outcomes analysis
- Proficiency in Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
- Cross-functional project leadership
- Self-starter who needs little direction or guidance
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to communicate well in a variety of settings with a variety of stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits:
- For new hires, this position pays in the range of $145K - $180K per year, depending on experience.
- This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.

Salary : $145,000 - $180,000
