Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Must be available on weekends as needed.
Job Summary: Responsible for group sales, banquets, and vacation rental revenue. Implement yield strategies and ensure market performance meets budget and forecast targets. Develop and solicit business from all markets to ensure advance bookings for successful operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct solicitation efforts of the sales staff.
- Oversee rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
- Ensure regular training programs and adherence to NDM standards.
- Compile and direct preparation of sales reports and forecasts.
- Conduct market research and develop new marketing strategies.
- Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations.
- Prepare and execute annual business plans.
- Organize and attend sales department and executive committee meetings.
- Develop rates, group sales, and deployment strategies.
- Represent NDM at industry events.
- Ensure compliance with employment and civil rights laws.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs and budgetary analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, and staff training.
- Effective communication and diplomacy skills.
- Ability to stand and move throughout properties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of sales leadership in a similar-sized operation.
