HR Coordinator
NearU is a people-centric, process-driven, and technology-enabled customer service platform dedicated to revolutionizing the home services industry by vastly improving the customer and employee experience.
The HR Coordinator will serve as a bridge between the Branches, BSC and NearU Human Resource Department. This role is responsible for building relationships with candidates, new hires and existing employees and working with the HR team to execute the NearU HR processes and initiatives.
This role is four days on-site at our Charlotte office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate pre-employment activities such as background checks, drug screening, MVR, etc.
- Initiates candidates electronic onboarding process and maintains communication with incoming employees.
- Initiates new hires training including safety and compliance training
- Completes the HR new hire electronic forms – E-Verify, policy acknowledgement forms, etc.
- Supports HR in maintaining legal compliance – managing expired documents, filing documents, etc.
- Completes monthly benefit billing under the direction of the Benefit Manager.
- May assist with the processing or auditing of terminations
- May assist payroll department at times regarding leave of absence, PTO or collection of work hours.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assists in the coordination and/or communication of HR activities or programs.
- Maintains trackers for a variety of HR activities.
- Assists with projects as assigned by HR
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years’ experience in human resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability to influence and manage upward
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal oversight
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, leadership presence, demeanor, ethics and image of self and subordinates
- Advanced user in MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field, or extensive experience within HR.
- Experience working within a HR Information System including online applicant tracking tool and job boards
