The Medical Records Coordinator responsible for organizing and managing health information data and overseeing patient health information that is released to or received by other healthcare facilities. This position can be hybrid or remote in the Omaha area.
Additional Duties:
- Accurately and efficiently retrieves, scans and attaches medical records to all patient charts.
- Responds positively to requests for medical records, internal and external.
- Obtains records stored offsite as requested.
- Triages urgent and non- urgent requests for medical records.
- Processes patient records (deceased, missing dictation, patient portal, certified letters, etc.).
- Works on several projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Medical Records experience preferred.
