Job Summary:
Neo Monitors Corporation, a Nederman company, provides the preeminent TDLAS in the analytical industry. Neo Monitors has begun operations in the U.S. and has an opening for Service Specialist to support our TDLAS product and associated integrated sample systems. This Analytical Field Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management to be the face of Neo Monitors Corp. The successful candidate will provide complete services on TDLAS, sample systems, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications. Our ideal candidate will be customer oriented, an advocate for Neo Monitors Corp. by serving the customer in refineries, chemical, power generation, etc. sites within North America and occasionally internationally, and be eager to drive growth.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform in house services such as:
Troubleshooting
Calibration/Validation with gas standards
Bench repair
Electronic evaluations and replacement
Software updates
Optical alignments
ESD awareness
Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of NEO Monitors TDLAs and supported equipment when necessary and based on skill/performance level after training and bench repair work.
Must be client-focused, while occasionally working in conjunction with other project and sales groups.
Must be proficient with the use of customer management software to track service calls, manage parts and inventories, and complete job tasks.
Review reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning product to determine nature and scope of problem
Analyze review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action
Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
Analyze chemistry reports of technical problems to recommend modifications to eliminate future problems
Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer
Work schedule may include weekend coverage
Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or military/equivalent experience required.
Five or more years hands-on experience as an analytical or electronic Service Technician/Specialist/Engineer, particularly working with analytical instrumentation, or 5 or more years relevant experience in electronic repair, calibration, and testing
Effective communication skills and ability to establish good customer rapport are essential
Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear and concise documentation
Ability to work independently within a customer location
Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary
Must be available to travel overnight up to 50%
Physical requirements and essential functions :
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. with assistance on occasion.
Ability to safely lift and carry 25-30 lbs. continuously throughout the day
Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach on a daily basis in a service function
Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Qualify and maintain TWIC, Passport, safety council, and equivalent credentials
Maintain expense reports
Ability to read and ascertain electrical drawings and schematics
Understanding of temperature, pressure, flow, velocity in a process environment
