Job Responsibilities:
- Provide academic advising and social-emotional support to students grades 9 to 12.
- Provide post-secondary guidance to 11th and 12th-grade students, write college letters of recommendations for 12th graders on your caseload and provide guidance to student's parents and high school staff throughout the post-secondary process.
- Effectively manage a caseload of students grades 9th to 12 providing a range of counseling services and academic support.
- Works with students who are struggling with emotional, developmental, and social issues
- Provides individual and group counseling in school through for students in need of all levels of emotional support (short-term and long-term)
- Provides leadership in this school regarding the Social Emotional Learning of students.
- Provides ongoing consultation to school staff and parents
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling Field.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor or School Counselor
