We are seeking a highly responsible strategic leader who is passionate about aligning the work of the finance department with the organization’s mission, inspiring a team, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability for Neighborhood.
About the Role :
As the leader of the finance, payroll, and billing teams you’ll oversee functions such as financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk management. You’ll use your strategic thinking, good judgment, and interpersonal skills as you solve problems and drive change. You’ll report directly to the CEO and be a key strategic advisor. Essential duties include :
Lead and carry out finance management strategic planning
Maintain all organizational accounting and financial record keeping
Oversee all aspects of revenue cycle and billing through staff training and development and metrics
Evaluate and recommend financial strategies for all lines of business and facilities within the organization
Serve as a key advisor for the president / CEO as part of the strategic leadership team
You will be primarily based at our Northwest location, 155 Lawn Avenue in Buffalo, and will also travel to other Neighborhood sites on occasion.

Education and Experience to be VP of finance :
Bachelor’s degree required. CPA preferred.
FQHC or similar finance and revenue cycle experience is strongly preferred.
At least three years of senior leadership with strong prior supervisory experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Able to read, write and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish preferred.
What We Offer :
Compensation : $158,000 - $170,000 based on a full time, 40 hour work week
