The Construction Project Manager plans, coordinates, and supervises construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves budget management, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project costs, prepare estimates, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within budget.
- Scheduling & Resource Management: Create work schedules, allocate labor, materials, and equipment, and coordinate subcontractors.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, providing regular progress updates.
- Problem-Solving: Address challenges, conflicts, or unexpected issues that arise during construction.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3-10 years in construction management, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, blueprints, and safety regulations.
- Project Management Skills: Strong ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for team coordination.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction technology.
