Overview
The Atlanta office of a national, AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking qualified applicants for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. Ideal candidates will have experience in a law firm setting handling all aspects of commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, and loans.
Responsibilities
Tasks performed may include:
- Review and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions;
- Review and analysis of title, survey and due diligence, including zoning reports, site plans and similar materials;
- Drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters;
- Review and mark up a title commitment;
- Review closing statements;
- Possess strong working knowledge of formation and basic governance of entities for use in review and preparation of organizational and authority documents;
- Organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements; and
- Researching real property tax and ownership information.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program; however, work experience may be substituted for education;
- Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
- Familiarity with using computers for organizing and maintaining documents;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document, summarize and present information to attorneys; and
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, including ability to train and oversee the work of others.
