Summary:
The Category Sourcing Manager (Direct Materials) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic sourcing of Direct Materials across the Allied organization. This includes the development and execution of sourcing strategies to include but not limited to supplier discovery, selection, negotiations and relationship management to support the goals and objectives of the organization. The primary sourcing categories will be PVC Pipe, Metal Components (machined or casted), Plastic Components (injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, rotational molding) and other categories.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to align with the business needs of the organization.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to assess their capabilities and fit.
- Negotiate contracts / terms with suppliers; including costing, capacities, delivery schedules, payment terms, rebate programs, etc.
- Incorporate Supplier Relationship Management principles to prioritize & align organizational resources.
- Drive sourcing and manufacturing synergies and conduct make/buy analysis to optimize network cost and service.
- Develop Long Term Capacity Plan for major categories to ensure supplier capabilities align with needs of organization.
- Perform Risk Assessment and develop mitigation plans for key areas of need.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance departments to ensure sourcing activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as product development, manufacturing and supply chain, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Evaluate and assess supplier performance, conducting regular supplier audits and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Create tooling database which enables visibility to asset's useful life & planned replacement schedules.
- Attend industry conference and seminars to build relationships and gain market intelligence.
- Continue to develop knowledge of various sourcing tools (market analytics, industry data, should cost, SRM, Kraljic, etc.) and leverage in development of sourcing strategies.
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong preference for experience in project management and contract manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of global sourcing processes, strategies, and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Strong project management & organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using sourcing & supply chain tools, systems, and software (ERP/Oracle, should cost, spend/market analytics, etc.)
- Project management that drives impact, strong results and leads change.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of sourcing and industry experience
- Travel up to 25%, with ability to travel internationally and domestically.

Salary : $58 - $63
