What You’ll Do:
- Windows System Support: Provide top-notch technical support for Windows-based systems, including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Software Testing & Patching: Conduct software quality assurance (QA) testing and deploy Windows patches to keep everything running smoothly.
- System Monitoring: Analyze database queries to monitor system jobs and identify potential issues before they affect operations.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in debugging production problems, reviewing system logs, and coordinating resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Field Testing: Perform monthly one-day field testing (within a 200-mile radius, no overnight travel), including system diagnostics and device reboots.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop dashboards and reports to track system performance and optimize operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Windows System Support: Familiarity with Windows administration, patch management, event log analysis, and troubleshooting.
- SQL Knowledge: Ability to write basic SQL queries, extract and manipulate data, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Software Testing: Understanding of functional and regression testing, with exposure to automation frameworks being a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Field Testing: Comfort with monthly field testing (one-day trips within a 200-mile radius, no overnights).
- Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work with a small IT support team while also managing individual tasks and projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Linux Administration: Experience with Linux system administration and command-line navigation.
- Reporting Tools: Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Grafana, or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Production System Triage: Knowledge of production system triage, including remote troubleshooting.
- IT Growth Mindset: A strong interest in growing within IT infrastructure, system administration, and support.
