Revitalized from a former brewery, our plant will use modern production capabilities to meet increasing demand for dry pet food. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for administration aspects of the Human Resources Department to be audit-ready at all times by ensuring that accurate records are maintained for all employees and are in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as Governmental requirements. In addition, you will administer all aspects of the Employee Benefits Program and keep open communications with all plant personnel.

Note: This role will require flexibility to work around holiday periods for payroll and year-end procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with St. Louis headquarter’s recruitment team for posting, maintaining and updating all factory position openings (salary and hourly) and maintaining all associated job files.
- Organize interviews and follow process through for offers, pre-employment and notifications for onboarding. Ensure results and notifications are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance of I-9 process via online I9 Equifax.
- Coordinate with Training Department on scheduling New Employee Orientation and attendees
- Facilitate HR Portions of New Employee Orientation to include NPPC Benefits, Nestle Corporate Business Principles, Nestle Leadership Framework, and Eden Playbook overview.
- Maintain knowledge of all company benefits programs-medical and dental insurance claims processing, to include, verification of coverage, answering health care provider inquiries, and SAP administration.
- Maintain knowledge of all other administrative responsibilities associated with Employee Benefits, i.e., Savings Investment Plan, Retirement, Pension, and Life and Disability insurance.
- Act as the Site Wellness champion, developing health & wellness activities throughout the year as well as conducting the annual health screen and benefits re-enrollment during October/November.
- Maintain any Human Resources databases, including employee bidding, bid and wage changes, etc. This includes maintenance of Salary employee files for medical and personnel. Additionally, act as back-up to HR Coordinator for attendance & FMLA tracking.
- Assist and participate in all employee functions, i.e., Factory employee activities, Holiday functions and community outreach activities/events.
- Submit all EAF transactions; terminations, transfers, promotions for salary/hourly personnel and monitor SAP results and SAP organizational chart.
- Assist Human Resources Manager with annual Affirmative Action Plan.
- Assist employees with all HR and Benefits related questions on a daily basis and on shifts as needed.
- Liaison with factory vending services, employee scheduling & payroll system
- Administer plant transfer process with final approval by HR Manager in areas not specified by the procedure.
- Coordinate payment for pre-employment drug screens and background checks, with the assistance of the STL onboarding team.
- Recruit administrative temporary help if needed.
- Maintain accurate employee data in SAP and employee files for both hourly and salary.
- Oversee all administrative activity associated with salaried payroll, including printing & auditing time slips, employee training, work rule questions, recording pay exceptions and vacations, monthly overtime accruals, new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Process and audit quarterly plant incentive program for salaried employees. Submit to plant controller.
- Report vacation records for all exempt and non-exempt administrative employees including annual vacation/salaried accruals and floating holiday.
- Assist in preparation of salary adjustments; prepare recommendation worksheets for salary adjustments as they occur, including appropriate approvals from corporate office.
- Act as liaison between Leave Specialist and employee’s manager for updates on the employee’s leave.
- Coordinate and submit relocation form request for salaried employee transfers; arrange temporary housing if needed.
- Maintain Corporate American Express card.
