We are seeking a skilled Molecular Biotechnologist to join our team at Net2Source Inc.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for purifying custom oligonucleotides according to customer orders. This will involve sorting, purification, and quality control sampling of products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls.
- Purify oligos using various techniques, including automated and manual lab equipment.
- Quantify and sample oligos for quality control tests.
- Assess QC data accurately and make pass/fail decisions for oligos.
- Evaluate product purity through the custom purification process.
- Sort oligos for proper purification by hand or using software.
- Use custom software packages to complete tasks and create final product.
- Troubleshoot oligo failures and make thoughtful sorting and purification decisions.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with our company's core values.
Position-Specific Responsibilities:
- FOLLOW CUSTOM INSTRUCTIONS OUTLINED BY OLIGO MASTER RECORDS OR MANAGER APPROVED PROCESS FLOWS.
- Perform hand coupling of modifications.
- Keep thorough records of specialized processes in the oligo process history.
- Organize and handle customer-owned materials and non-standard reagent formulations.
- Handle expensive oligos and reagents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or comparable combination of education and experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. A science-related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in various PC software programs, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
