Responsibilities:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll for multiple locations, both union and non-union, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Utilizing Ceridian Dayforce as the primary payroll system, the analyst will ensure the timely and precise processing of payroll data, including all pay calculations, tax deductions, benefits, and special adjustments. The role will also require proactive auditing, troubleshooting, and resolving payroll issues to maintain employee satisfaction and legal compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of payroll processing experience, with a focus on multi-location payroll management.
- Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce or other payroll systems is highly preferred.
- Experience with union payrolls and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) is a must.
- Experience in payroll tax, including accurate payroll tax calculations, preparing and filing returns, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables) for payroll reporting and data analysis.
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws and the ability to navigate complex payroll calculations.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct thorough audits and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll issues to team members and other departments in an understandable manner.
- A service-oriented attitude and ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling sensitive payroll matters.
- Payroll Certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional [CPP]) is a plus.
- Experience processing garnishments, levies, and other payroll deductions.
