Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Help Desk Analyst to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware, and ensuring efficient operation of IT services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.
Duties
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows operating systems and applications.
- Assist users with mobile devices, ensuring connectivity and functionality.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
- Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN) performance.
- Utilize ticketing systems such as Remedy to track and manage support requests.
- Implement and maintain firewall settings to ensure network security.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
- Document solutions and update knowledge base articles for future reference.
- Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for technology use.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, including DNS and LAN configurations.
- Experience in providing IT support in a help desk environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory for user account management.
- Knowledge of firewall configurations and security protocols is a plus.
- Experience with mobile device management is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
