Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Help Desk Analyst to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware, and ensuring efficient operation of IT services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.

Duties

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Assist users with mobile devices, ensuring connectivity and functionality.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
  • Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN) performance.
  • Utilize ticketing systems such as Remedy to track and manage support requests.
  • Implement and maintain firewall settings to ensure network security.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
  • Document solutions and update knowledge base articles for future reference.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for technology use.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, including DNS and LAN configurations.
  • Experience in providing IT support in a help desk environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory for user account management.
  • Knowledge of firewall configurations and security protocols is a plus.
  • Experience with mobile device management is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.81 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
