Network Advantage, Inc, a Richmond, Virginia-based leader in advanced Information Technologies is seeking qualified candidates to join our Team at Richmond International Airport as an Onsite Desktop/Help Desk Support Technician.

Position Description

You will serve as a first point of contact for Richmond International Airport employees and vendors seeking technical assistance via email, phone, and help desk ticketing systems. You should be able to perform remote and deskside troubleshooting using industry standard diagnostic techniques to determine the best solution based on the details provided by the end user and your troubleshooting capabilities. You should have communication skills to help the end users through the problem-solving process with a friendly, positive attitude. You should know when you are unable to resolve the issues, when to ask for help from the next level IT Support Team. The IT Support role helps support users with the Windows Operating Systems (Win10/11 Enterprise), applications (both Local and Cloud based), and mobile devices, plus network, virus, malicious software, and hardware support issues. Additionally, you will support the Team in more advanced projects as needed.

This position requires you to be present onsite at Richmond International Airport Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week (this is not a telework position).

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a computer science related area or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of Helpdesk/Incident experience in an IT environment.
  • 1-2 years of Hardware (Desktop/Laptops/Printers/Scanners) hands on experience and minor repairs.
  • 2-4 years of Customer Service Experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows 10/11 as it relates to troubleshooting and remediating end user issues.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 as it relates to troubleshooting and remediating user issues.
  • Excellent customer communication (both Verbal and Written), ability to self-balance tickets and tasks, and enjoy working in a team-based environment.
  • Understanding of the OSI model and experience in layer 1-2 troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of modern RMM tools, Modern AV / XDR
