Staff Accountant

1. Assist with payroll processing and reporting
2. Maintains current records on the balance sheets.
3. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records, files, and reconciling accounts.
4. Create and reconcile transactions between companies to ensure their accuracy and completion
5. Prepares financial statements on all companies.
6. Analyzes financial statements versus budget and clarifies discrepancies.
7. Prepares property tax returns; assists with property lists; compiles property cost list.
8. Responsible for accruing expenses and other entries as needed
9. Update and maintain accounting journals and ledgers
10. Maintain files thoroughly and accurately
11. Maintain strict confidentiality of all company information
12. Maintain current records on balance sheets including all prepaid, accrual, suspense and fixed asset accounts
13. Perform other specific assignments as directed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business degree is preferred
• Minimum of 4 years’ work experience
• Accounting experience preferred in healthcare industry
• Experience in payroll preparation and processing
• Ability to apply the knowledge of accounting standards, conventions and principles
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think analytically and logically
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at a time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to sit for long period so time
• Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, push and pull
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must be able to communicate frequently with internal staff and external customers/vendors and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
