Job Description

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Sankofa Ambassador. The Sankofa Ambassadors will assist in the Sankofa program, which aims to promote the recruitment and retention of Black students at Nevada State. Sankofa ambassadors will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of Sankofa program events, workshops, and activities. Duties may include promoting events, engaging with students to raise awareness about the program, and providing support during Sankofa initiatives. Other duties involve assisting with the recruitment, planning, and execution of the Sankofa Summer Bridge program. Sankofa Ambassadors will collaborate with the Sankofa coordinator to contribute to the overall success of the Sankofa program. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a student to gain experience in event planning, cultural programming, and community outreach while making a positive impact on campus.
