SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

Manage the day-to-day marketing functions of the credit union; supervise the marketing staff. Monitor all marketing programs, advertising campaigns, promotions, delivery systems, and community service activities for compliance with credit union policies as well as external rules and regulations. Manage the development and implementation of the Credit Union's Marketing Plan. Work with all department managers in the coordination of all marketing programs, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES :

  • Oversee and assist in the job training of new staff; identify training needs for staff development.
  • Execute annual staff performance evaluations; provide ongoing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and apply policies and procedures for the marketing department. Ensure staff compliance.
  • Maintain product knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Coordinate and support outside events to grow NBCU relationships with their partners. Attend as needed.
  • Attend meetings and training opportunities as needed and as required.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor the marketing budget that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
  • Create quarterly and annual marketing plan reports and updates. Present reports to the Marketing Committee.
  • Manage the development and execution of the annual strategic marketing plan in conjunction with the Credit Union's strategic goals.
  • Envision creative marketing and public relations concepts. Design, develop, and implement marketing and public relations programs for the credit union. Track and evaluate results of programs. Update or change as appropriate to ensure effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and demographic data concerning members and potential members, products and services, and potential products and services. Keep abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that the credit union may react quickly and competitively.
  • Recommend new services and changes in existing services to meet the needs of our members.
  • Coordinate the implementation of online ads, print ads, television, and direct mail promotions.
  • Communicate website changes and enhancements to the Credit Union's website developer.
  • Create or assist in the design of print ads, digital ads, newsletters, brochures, and lobby signs as needed.
  • Compile and assist with interpretation of information gathered by various resources including Google Analytics, focus groups, staff feedback, member surveys, and new account / loan reports to help measure effectiveness of marketing efforts, and to ensure targeted demographic is being reached.
  • Work with department managers on monthly staff product training to ensure effective cross-selling opportunities are in place.
  • Coordinate / monitor customer feedback mechanisms, such as focus groups and surveys.
  • Coordinate and participate in community events, credit union booth exhibits and business development opportunities. Assign event duties to marketing staff as needed.
  • Ensure that all marketing and public relations materials comply with State and Federal rules and regulations for the credit union. Keep abreast of changing rules and regulations. Seek guidance from the VP of Risk Management & Training as needed.
  • Adherence to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities which are specific to the position and reporting suspicious activities to the BSA Officer.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business marketing is preferred.
  • Degree or current enrollment in business marketing or digital marketing is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate skills related to Microsoft Office applications are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and / or InDesign is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in financial services is preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in banking preferred.
