As a Production Assistant, you'll be a vital part of our production team, working alongside project managers and supporting our field and office staff to ensure seamless project execution. This is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in project management while gaining exposure to both the technical and organizational aspects of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in project scheduling, budget preparation, and expense tracking.
- Filing and maintenance of subcontractor bids, including scope compliance verification.
- Alert subcontractors to the status of project schedules, and their scheduled start date.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding schedules, scopes, and project updates.
- Maintain and develop standards for our project management software (JobTread).
- Aid in documenting and presenting change orders to clients.
- Prepare project checklists and ensure timely client decisions on selections.
- Attend client meetings and follow up with detailed notes.
- Support direct project management duties such as site inspections and milestone meetings.
- Manage warranty schedules and ensure timely completion of walkthroughs and claims.
- Organize project autopsies and create job closeout folders for clients.
- Foster clear, respectful communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of field experience or a related college degree.
- Working knowledge of residential construction processes and codes.
- Proficiency in technology, including smartphones, Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- A commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning.
