Job Overview
The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising work in the commercial laundry plant. This is a management position with hands-on responsibility and accountability for daily production flow and bottom-line results.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing plant safety, operation, costs and budgeting.
- Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and engineering (maintenance) to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Manage and supervise leads. This includes training in direct reports, providing direction and guidance, coaching and guidance.
- Responsible for execution of company production policies, procedures and standards.
- Responsible for setting, monitoring and ensuring that standards for production, quality, housekeeping and safety are met.
- Responsible for overseeing all new hire training and conducting regular and ongoing training in all production departments.
- Analyze and recommend plans for improvement - assess and recommend equipment improvements, methods and process improvements. Continuous improvement in Pounds per Operator Hour (PPOH).
- Ensure high performance in efficiency, accuracy and quality in all plant departments.
- Consults with engineering, sales and service management to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- Performs other duties as required and reports to the Production Manager.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
