What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Municipal Court Clerk position at New Braunfels, City of (TX)?
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interns may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties as needed.
Under supervision, inputs a variety of court transactions into court management software.
- Assists with court projects and prepares court reports as directed by the court administrator.
- Assists Judge with reports and projects as assigned.
- Reviews old case files to determine if files are correctly managed and prepared for storage.
- Works with warrants to determine that all warrants served have been recalled and removed from police dispatch.
- Processes paperwork for court proceedings under the direction of the court administrator.
- Files closed cases.
- Trains court personnel on software that intern has expertise, such as excel.
- Reviews customer service to provide an outside view of court operations.
- When available, will participate in staff and other management meetings.
- Maintains the absolute confidentiality of all records and information.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Working on a college degree. No court experience required
Required Licenses or Certifications: Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a standard office environment and is subject to sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry equipment and materials up to thirty (30) pounds.
