What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Admissions Coordinator position at New Dawn Treatment Centers?

New Dawn Treatment Centers is seeking highly motivated, detail oriented and enthusiastic individuals with strong customer service skills, a background in sales, and experience working in the healthcare (preferably mental health or substance abuse treatment) or hospitality field for the Patient Intake/Admissions position.

Hours are Mon. - Friday 9am - 5:30pm or 12:30 - 9pm. Seeking candidates with a lot of patience, compassion, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of our treatment programs to prospective clients.

Qualified applicants will also be adept at time management and work efficiently and independently once trained. Addiction counselors, front office medical receptionists, and individuals with marketing, sales, outreach, or behavioral healthcare experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary job duty requires explaining patient balances to clients at admission, including their copy, deductible, out of pocket max, etc., collecting the amounts owed from the client or family member or other financially responsible party, and making sure all inpatient residents are current on their account balance with nothing owed prior to their discharge. Job responsibilities also include helping clients apply for financial loans through our lendinng partner to help cover the cost of their treatment.

Experience with verifying and understanding insurance benefits is a plus but not required. Must have reliable transportation, DL and valid auto insurance. Please submit your resume with a brief cover letter. Highly Competitive Pay & Benefits.
