New Day Office is a thirty-eight-year-old commercial interiors firm, headquartered in Hampton Roads, with an inspiring culture where the staff is on mission together and the client is highly respected. We are seeking a full-time Project Manager in Suffolk, VA for projects located throughout the United States. Projects will include work in commercial, health care, education, and government settings.
This team member must be a high-energy professional who is self-motivated, has project management experience along with strong written and verbal communication, mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills. Candidate must also have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and develop and maintain regular updates and communicate project timelines with the customer and internal team. The project manager will be responsible for managing projects from award to closeout. Travel rate is 25-50%.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: contract review, design review, client/owner interface/development, schedules, safety plans, change orders, billing, cost tracking, managing sub-contractors, completing punch lists, and project closeout. In collaboration with senior leadership, the project manager will lead the proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of project bottlenecks and risks. Candidate must have a satisfactory driving record and be able to pass pre-employment drug testing as well as background checks to maintain access to military bases and client sites.
This position is perfect for someone who loves complex challenges and has experience (or a degree) in construction management either as a PM, Assistant PM, or Superintendent.
