Controller

We’re seeking a Controller to join our passionate and creative team in Farmington, NY. Reporting directly to the CAO, this hands-on management role oversees company-wide accounting activities and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex accounting and ERP systems while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the month-end financial close process, including financial reporting & analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow projections, and sales tax compliance.
• Maintain financial systems, oversee asset and inventory management, and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and ERP software platforms.
• Manage external audits and reviews by CPA firms and insurance carriers.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities for the accounting team.
• Collaborate with business leaders to deliver consistent financial reporting to support operational decision-making.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or related.
• Demonstrated expertise with Acumatica or other ERP software
• High degree of proficiency with Excel.
• Background in manufacturing or construction accounting
• Experience with socially and environmentally conscious business models.
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• 8 years of progressive experience preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports and presenting and informing insights, variances and trends to leadership.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
