What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Insurance Account Manager position at New England Insurance Group?
The Personal Insurance Account Manager is an integral link in the business relationship that is created by our agency, our clients and our companies. For most of our clients, the Account Manager is the focal point of their contacts with our agency, and frequently clients rely on the Account Manager to explain, select and place their insurance coverage. The individual Account Manager needs to objectively assess the underwriting practices of our companies when placing coverage.
In addition to fundamental rating, underwriting and procedural skills, the Account Manager Position requires excellent communication and organizational skills combined with sales abilities.
Summary:
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Provide superior service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs to the products and services our agency provides.
2. Fully utilize the capabilities of the agency management system including consistent and thorough documentation of all activities for E&O purposes
3. Review every individual client file prior to or at renewal, to assess coverage and recommend changes when necessary, according to the account review processes and guidelines.
4. Plan and prioritize Account Rounding and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims.
5. Actively develop account sales for assigned clients by soliciting additional policy sales in a manner consistent with our agency marketing plans.
6. Underwrite and place individual risk situations to ensure they meet our agency’s standards and those of the companies we represent.
7. Complete applications on our client’s behalf for all Personal Lines coverage, including price quotations and comparisons, for all the companies we represent.
8. Maintain individual customer files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company, including preparing policy documents.
9. Perform additional functions at the direction of Agency Management.
