Real Estate Title Examiner

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Title Examiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the real estate transaction process by examining and analyzing title documents to ensure clear property ownership. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services, loan processing, and relevant regulations. The Title Examiner will work closely with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.

Duties

• Review and analyze title documents, including deeds, mortgages, and contracts to determine property ownership and any encumbrances.
• Conduct thorough research using public records, databases, and other resources to verify property titles.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and identifying potential issues related to title defects or liens.
• Collaborate with loan processors and underwriters to resolve any title-related concerns during the mortgage servicing process.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, and real estate agents regarding title issues and resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all title examinations and correspondence.

Experience

• Proven experience in loan processing, mortgage servicing, or related financial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with underwriting processes and credit analysis is advantageous.
• Knowledge of contract law as it pertains to real estate transactions is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying discrepancies in title documents.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
