Job Overview

Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Utilize skills in crisis management and intervention to support clients in acute distress.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client participation in their treatment process.
- Offer addiction counseling services as needed, addressing substance use issues with sensitivity and expertise.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and share insights on client progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of social work and behavioral health to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
- Experience in behavioral health settings preferred, with demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and management.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques and addiction counseling is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.
- Ability to supervise and mentor less experienced staff effectively.
