DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SECURITY
DEFINITION: Under direction of the Medical Director or other supervisor in a hospital or facility in the Department of Human Services, plans, organizes, administers, and controls the activities of the Medical Security Office concerned with security practices, custody, Medical Security employee discipline, the control of the movement of patients or residents, and the training of personnel in these practices; does related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of supervisory experience in the care, custody, and treatment of patients or residents who require medical security in a large mental hospital.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
